Purpose of the service

Legionella Screen lets a visitor describe a building and a testing need, and have that water system sampled and the samples cultured in an accredited laboratory. Legionella Screen samples building water systems and cooling towers and has the samples analysed by culture in an accredited laboratory. It does not diagnose illness, does not treat anyone, and gives no medical advice of any kind.

What using this site does not create

  • No contract for work of any kind between you and Legionella Screen.
  • No guarantee that a specialist will contact you, quote, or be available.
  • No opinion on your building, no interpretation of any result, no statement of compliance and no medical or public health advice.
  • No commitment on price, schedule or method.

Your obligations

The information you submit should be accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you should be entitled to commission work on the property concerned or to be acting for someone who is. Submitting projects you have no intention of pursuing, or somebody else’s contact details, is a misuse of the service.

Content on this site

The technical pages are written to be accurate and are reviewed on a stated date. They are general explanation, not advice on a specific building.
